How to get the free Katalina skin in Fortnite

Many of Fortnite’s skins require you to purchase their bundles through the premium shop for V-Bucks or advance through the current season’s Battle Pass. However, you can occasionally get them for free from quests, and the Katalina skin is one of many that just require a bit of time and dedication.

How to get the Katalina Outfit for free in Fortnite

From August 16 until November 1, 2024, you can get the Katalina Outfit by playing Fortnite on mobile. Earning XP on Android or iOS will allow you to progress through Fortnite Mobile App Bonus Goals through your quest menu, giving you rewards like Tactical Kat Wrap, Katalina’s Kit Bag Back Bling, and the Katalina Outfit. Doing this is completely free and requires no store or Battle Pass purchases.

However, there’s one major caveat: the iOS version of this offer is only available for European players unless you use cloud streaming. Since Apple blocked worldwide access to Fortnite for a while, it only recently returned to Europe but has yet to arrive on iOS in other regions. Fortunately, you can play Fortnite using cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming, NVIDIA GeForce NOW, or Amazon Luna to get around this.

If you’re an Android user, you won’t have to worry about this restriction. Fortnite is still available on Android devices worldwide, allowing you to play regardless of your region.

Alternatively, if you miss out on this event or can’t access the game on mobile due to region restrictions, you can purchase the skin in the shop later down the line. However, the exact release date for Katalina in the store is unknown.

Finishing every quest will take time, especially if you only play Fortnite occasionally. Don’t worry, though; You have 11 weeks to grind some XP for these objectives, giving you plenty of time to get Katalina’s outfit to add to the ever-growing skin collection, even if you prefer playing on other devices.
