How to get the Deku Scrub Lockup Heart Piece in Zelda Echoes of Wisdom

If there’s one thing you want to go out of your way to find in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, it’s the many hidden Heart Pieces. One can be found in the Deku Scrub Lockup during the ‘Rift in the Faron Wetlands’ main quest. 

Heart Pieces in EoW allow Zelda to gather more hearts, which is always beneficial as it allows her to take more damage and therefore live longer. You need four Heart Pieces to gain one additional heart of health, so they’re worth collecting wherever you can find them. 

The Heart Piece in Deku Scrub Lockup is hidden in a room concealed by Potted Plants. To find it, you’ll need to sneak your way through the first room by hiding in a pot, then you’ll be able to take your time and get this heart piece

Where is the Heart Piece in Deku Scrub Lockup?

The Heart Piece is hidden behind the middle Potted Plant in the row of three which lines the back wall of this room. To move it, simply use Tri to bind to it, and then shift it out of the way to open up access to the door. 

Inside, you’ll find the Heart Piece on top of six totems which cannot be moved using the Bind ability. To access it, you’ll need to use all of the items already in the room to create a makeshift staircase. 

How to get the Heart Piece in Deku Scrub Lockup

Inside this room, there are the following items available:

• 2 Potted Plants
• 2 Braziers
• 1 Bed
• 1 Table

You can use the Bind ability on all of these items, and if stacked correctly, you’ll be able to hop up and grab the heart piece. 

There are a few different ways you can arrange the items in order to get up to the top, but below is an image of how I arranged them in order to make my staircase:

Once you’ve got the Heart Piece, you’re free to continue making your way out of the Deku Scrub Lockup, then you’ll get your hands on the Sweet Spot Membership Card, which allows you to push forward with the main ‘Rift in Faron Wetlands’ quest.
