How to get Temporal Erosion in Warframe

Fire on all cylinders!

Temporal Erosion is an interesting Augment Mod for Protea in Warframe. You hear “armor strip” and think this could be the thing to turn the time-defying gadgeteer into the meta.Ā

In any case, here is what you need to know about her Temporal Erosion mod and if itā€™s worth using in your builds in Warframe.

How to get Temporal Erosion in Warframe

To get the Temporal Erosion mod in Warframe, you must reach the final rank in either the Arbiters of Hexis or the Perrin Sequence Syndicates. The mod will cost 25,000 Standing and will come unranked.

The reason why you have to progress to the maximum level in those respective Syndicates is because Warframe Augment Mods become available at that rank. This applies to the four other pledge-able ones in the game too (ex. Steel Meridian, Red Veil, New Loka, Cephalon Suda).

If you are in neither of the Syndicates where this mod is purchasable, you can seek out other players via the Trade chat who are. Typically, a Warframe Augment mod from the Syndicate vendors costs about 15 Platinum.

With the boost in Proteaā€™s popularity given her recent release of the Prime version, people might bump up prices. In any case, look for 10 to 15 for an Unranked version of this mod. Donā€™t get scammed.

Is Temporal Erosion worth it?

In some small cases, Temporal Erosion could be worth it. However, in our Protea Prime build, you can do just fine without the added armor strip.

The reason for that is her Blaze Artillery does Heat damage. This damage type already strips armor and is strong across all enemy factions in the game. Her Grenade Fan ability does Slash damage, so you have two of the strongest damage types in the game in one Warframe.

Proteaā€™s Temporal Anchor is a bit of a niche ability in the game and doesnā€™t last too long, even with proper modding. So youā€™re creating a heavily energy-dependent build just to get a few extra stacks of armor strip.

That said, Temporal Erosion does have its uses, but as you reach higher levels in the game, energy upkeep will be the difference between life and death. Youā€™re better off leaving that free slot for something more practical.
