How to get the Statue of Perfection in Stardew Valley

Free Iridium Ore? Yes please.

Iridium Ore is one of the harder resources to find in Stardew Valley, but there is a way to get a steady supply of the purple rock. It’ll take some work, but the Statue of Perfection is definitely worth aiming for.

The Statue of Perfection is a purple cat-like statue which produces between two and eight Iridium Ore each day. To get the Statue of Perfection, you need to pass Grandpa’s Evaluation with a score high enough that four candles light up on his Shrine.

To pass Grandpa’s Evaluation, you need to do a number of things before the beginning of year three. There are a few different objectives which play a factor and provide points towards your evaluation. The more points you have, the more candles will ultimately be lit on Grandpa’s Shrine:

PointsCandles lit
0 – 31
4 – 72
8 – 113
12+ 4

Don’t worry if you don’t pass with four candles the first time. If you want Grandpa to re-evaluate you, this can be done by placing a Diamond in Grandpa’s Shrine at any time after the beginning of year 3. Grandpa will re-evaluate the next day, after loading the game, or possibly at the beginning of the next season.
