How to get Sanctified Water in Final Fantasy XIV (FFXIV)

This is truly Alchemy

If you’re working with Xeerol Ja to complete their Wachumeqimeqi Deliveries in Final Fantasy XIV, you’re going to need a lot of ingredients. One of these, Sanctified Water, involves some gathering and crafting, but it’s not too difficult when you know where to look.

Sanctified Water is a level 97 recipe crafted by Alchemist. You’ll need Sanctified Water to complete the level 98 quest with Xeerol Ja, Good Hydrations. However, it’s a good idea to prep for this ahead of time so that you can gather enough of the base ingredients.

To make the six servings of Prickly Pear Juice needed to complete this quest, you’ll need enough materials to make a total of 24 Sanctified Waters.

To save you the trouble of figuring out the base materials, here’s what you’re going to need for those 24 Sanctified Waters:

  • 16 Yak T’el Spring Water
  • 16 Tumbleclaw Weeds

Yak T’el Spring water can be gathered by Miner once you reach around level 95. Although the nodes which produce Yak T’el Spring Water are level 100, you can use Sharp Vision to increase your ability to obtain items while gathering at a lower level.

There are a couple of options if you want to get Tumbleweed Claws in FFXIV, but if you’re looking to get some for free, you can go straight to the source.

Tumbleclaws are level 95 monsters that spawn in a small area of Shaaloani, as shown on the map above. Although the area itself is small compared to the size of Shaaloani as a whole, there are a lot of Tumbleclaws who spawn there, and you can take down a large number in a relatively small amount of time.

The second option is an excellent choice if you have a pile of Bicolor Gemstones and don’t know what to do with them. Tumbleclaw Weeds can be purchased from the local Gemstone Trader, Mitepe, close to the Hnusatahwi Aetheryte at Mitepe (X:28.6, Y:30.8).

If you’ve finished your Dawntrail Shared FATEs, they can also be purchased from the two city hub Gemstone Traders in the following locations:

  • Beryl in Solution Nine (X:8.4, Y:14.0)
  • Kajeel Ja in Tuliyollal (X:12.8, Y:13.0)

Regardless of which Gemstone Trader you choose to go to, you’ll have to pay 3 Bicolor Gemstones each for Tumbleclaw Weeds.
