Whether you’re a Culinarian trying to make high-end raiding food or grind out those Orange Crafters Scrips in Final Fantasy XIV, you’ll likely need to get your hands on some Rroneek Chuck.
This material is sourced in a variety of ways, whether you go straight to the source or find alternative means to get it. Of course, you could buy it on the Marketboard, but if you’re looking to save some Gil, here’s how to get and use Rroneek Chuck in FFXIV.
How to farm Rroneek Chuck in Final Fantasy XIV
Head to Shaaloani for Rroneek Chuck straight from the source. As this is a mid-level area, take a mid or max level Job to get Chuck fast. Rroneek can be found in a relatively large section of Shaaloani, in the north around (X:21.0, Y:11.0). There’s quite a large number of Rroneek clumped together in the area, so you shouldn’t have too hard a time finding them.
The drop rate for Rroneek Chuck is pretty average, and I’ve gotten around 2-3 for most Rroneek I’ve taken down. You’re also likely to get Rroneek Fleece here, which can be turned into Rroneek Serge.
How to get Rroneek Chuck with Bicolor Gemstones
You can also grind out some FATEs and purchase Rroneek Chuck using Bicolor Gemstones. If you want to do this solo, I recommend finding the instance with the least people in it, as FATEs scale their difficulty depending on the number of people within an instance.
With FATEs giving at least 16 Bicolor Gemstone per successful completion, or more depending on bonuses and whether or not you’ve taken down a Forlorn, you can easily earn a good amount in a short span. Rroneek Chuck costs 3 Bicolor Gemstones each; that’s five per FATE completed.
To buy Rroneek Chuck, you have two options. If you’ve not completed all of your Shared FATEs, you can talk to Mitepe (X:28.6, Y:30.8) near the Hnusatawi Aetheryte. If you have completed all of your Shared FATEs, you can also get Rroneek Chuck from either of the main Gemstone Traders in Dawntrail’s city hubs.
Dawntrail’s city hub Gemstone Traders can be found in the following locations:
- Beryl in Solution Nine (X:8.4, Y:14.0)
- Kajeel Ja in Tuliyollal (X:12.8, Y:13.0)
Other ways to get Rroneek Chuck in Final Fantasy XIV
If you’re lucky, you might get Rroneek Chuck from your Retainers on level 90+ Hunting Ventures, although this is far from guaranteed, and I’ve not seen this happen myself.
Rroneek Chuck doesn’t seem to be one of the available drops from either Br’aaxskin or Loboskin Maps, either, so your best bet to get it is either through farming Rroneek in Shaaloani or with Bicolor Gemstones.
