How to get Jean’s Envisaged Echoes in Genshin Impact

You may need to tweak your build.

Genshin Impact has cosmetic particle effects that trail behind your characters, but you’ll need to pass a test to unlock them. Here’s how to get Jean’s Envisaged Echo effect in Genshin Impact, from unlocking her stage to adjusting her build.

Unlock Jean’s Envisaged Echoes challenge

First off, in order to participate in her challenge, your Jean must be at least level 90 and Friendship level 8.

Once you’ve confirmed that your character meets the requirements, unlock Jean’s challenge stage using two Keys of Echoes. You will receive two Keys when you first unlock Envisaged Echoes, and you can get an additional key every month when the Imaginarium Theater cycle resets.

Strategies for Jean’s Envisaged Echoes challenges

Jean’s Envisaged Echoes challenge tasks you with protecting a central pile of goods from a group of Treasure Hoarders. They spawn in a few at a time and you must defeat 15 Treasure Hoarders in order to complete the challenge.

The best way to beat the stage is to throw the Treasure Hoarders out of the windows. You can do this by holding Jean’s Skill to suck enemies in, move your camera to point them at a window, then release her Skill to throw them towards it. Once enemies fall from the windows, they’re considered defeated. If your Skill is on cooldown, you can use a Charged Attack to knock enemies into the air and temporarily incapacitate them. This will buy you some time until you can use your Skill again.

You will also need to stay alive. Not only can the Treasure Hoarders deal damage to you, the stage itself will deal Pyro damage to you at intervals. Use Jean’s Burst and stand in it to heal yourself and remove the Pyro status from you.

Best Jean build for Envisaged Echoes in Genshin Impact

Your Jean may be level 90 with a great build, but your build may not work well for Envisaged Echoes. For one, Jean doesn’t have a whole team to benefit from her artifact buffs and provide her with Energy. Jean is the only character you have. You should adjust your build to suit the unique challenge objectives.

I recommend building as much Energy Recharge as possible so that Jean can use her Burst as needed. I completed the challenge with about 200% Energy Recharge. Set bonuses don’t matter. Just sort your artifacts by their Energy Recharge stat and equip whatever has the most.

As for weapons, Sacrificial Sword is helpful, since it allows Jean to cast her Skill more often. If you don’t have a Sacrificial Sword, use any Sword that provides Energy, like Favonius Sword, Fleuve Cendre Ferryman, Amenoma Kageuchi, or Skyrider Sword. It’s okay if your weapon isn’t fully leveled.

Remember that the goal is not to deal damage, just stay alive and throw enemies out of windows. Jean just needs to be able to cast her Skill and Burst as often as possible. Your 4pc Viridescent Venerer or Noblesse Oblige artifact sets won’t help you, so you should swap them out for artifacts that will.

How to equip an Echo in Genshin IMpact

Equip Jean’s Echo effect by going to her character page and selecting “Dressing Room” in the bottom right corner. Here, you can change Jean’s outfit, wind glider, and Echo. Navigate to the Echo tab and select “Equip” in the bottom right corner.

Now, whenever Jean walks or runs anywhere in Teyvat, she will leave behind a trail of floating dandelion seeds. Enjoy your fancy Envisaged Echo effect!
