How to get infinite ammo in the RE4 Remake Separate Ways DLC

It might take some hard work.

Like the base game, the Separate Ways DLC is chock full of juicy unlocks. You can get weapons and outfits, plus new modes to enjoy (or suffer through). And yes, there are a couple of ways to get infinite ammo in Separate Ways, just like with the RE4 Remake. If you’ve attempted to get this special perk in the base game, then you know it takes time. And a lot of patience.

To get infinite ammo in the RE4 Remake Separate Ways DLC, you must complete the story campaign at least once. This unlocks Professional mode, the hardest difficulty the game can throw your way. You’ll likely have to do several runs before the coveted infinite ammo feature is in your eager hands.

Steps to unlock infinite ammo in Separate Ways

The most challenging way to get infinite ammo is to unlock a particular accessory. Yes, folks, it’s the cat ears again! And you have to follow the same steps.

To get the Cat Set, you must:

  • Finish the game once to unlock Professional mode
  • Complete Professional mode in under 2.5 hours with 10 or fewer saves to earn S+ rank

Once you accomplish these steps, the Cat Set is yours. It grants infinite ammo for all weapons in the game, save for the rocket launcher from what I can tell. Let me be honest and say this isn’t easy to accomplish. The DLC may only be a third in length to the main game, but this is still a brutal experience. You may instead opt for spending more time and acquire the Chicago Sweeper first.

How to unlock infinite ammo for Chicago Sweeper in Separate Ways DLC

Just as it was with Leon, you can unlock the Chicago Sweeper weapon for Ada in the RE4 Remake Separate Ways DLC, along with its infinite ammo option. The steps are almost the same, starting with unlocking Professional mode.

Next, you have to complete the game in Professional and get at least an A rank — rewarded only if you finish in under four hours. Since the game itself is roughly five hours in length, and you can get A rank in NG+, acquiring the Sweeper isn’t a monumental task. Now here’s the fun part. You need to play through again and fully upgrade the Chicago Sweeper. Its exclusive unlock grants it infinite ammo. You can now take this fire-spitting bullet hose into Professional mode, upgrade it to earn the exclusive unlock, and mow your way through to S+. Once that’s done, you’ll have the Cat Set in your possession.
