How to get the Eminem Marshall Magma skin in Fortnite

It's a variant of another Eminem outfit.

It’s almost time for “a new beginning” in Fortnite! On December 2 at 12:00 p.m. PT / 2:00 p.m. ET, The Big Bang will rock the Fortnite island, and for some reason, the rap artist Eminem will be there. It’s bound to be an interesting experience, at the very least.

In the lead-up to the event, Epic Games has debuted several Eminem outfits to wear in-game, including Rap Boy (inspired clearly by Robin of Batman & Robin), Slim Shady (what you’d expect if you’ve seen the film 8 Mile), and Marshall Never More, a mafioso-inspired Eminem variant.

But, there’s really one more variant that was buried in the announcement, unless you read it extremely carefully. So, let’s review how to unlock the Marshall Magma style just in time for The Big Bang.

Fortnite’s Big Bang and the Marshall Magma skin

To unlock the Marshall Magma skin in Fortnite, you simply need to attend The Big Bang event. But, there’s a bit of a caveat — in order to access this skin, you need to have purchased the Marshall Never More skin, as Marshall Magma is effectively a variant of it.

If you haven’t nabbed the Marshall Never More skin yet, no worries. According to Epic Games, if you need to wait until after the event to buy Marshall Never More, so long as you attend The Big Bang, you’ll still unlock Marshall Magma when you buy the aforementioned skin.

Ultimately, it seems that if you bought Marshall Never More, you’ll unlock the skin variant either during or after The Big Bang has ended.

So, it’s not really a free skin as much as it’s a “free” variant, but it’s still neat!
