How to get Breath of Spring in Fields of Mistria

On the morning of Spring 14 in Fields of Mistria, Celine will come to visit to tell you about the upcoming Spring Festival on Spring 17. As part of this, she’ll instruct you to begin gathering Breath of Spring. 

The amount of Breath of Spring you collect up in the coming three days will directly affect the prizes and goods on offer at the Spring Festival, so it’s a good idea to gather as many of these flowers as you can. You’re also in competition with the other villagers to see who can get the most, so in the spirit of healthy competitiveness, here’s how to get a pile of Breath of Spring.

How to get Breath of Spring in Fields of Mistria

Breath of Spring have a small chance of dropping instead of Essence while you go about your daily tasks or quest activities. This means that Breath of Spring can come from any of the following sources:

• Mining
• Fishing
• Farming
• Foraging
• Digging

While you can get a good amount of Breath of Spring from any of these sources, with picking Wild Berries from the bushes around the map being a good and energy-saving source, I had the most luck when mining inside the Mines. For some reason, despite the darkness, Breath of Spring seem to be pretty common down there. 

On the morning of Spring 17, Celine will return to your farm and collect the Breath of Spring you’ve collected, leaving you free to go and enjoy the Spring Festival or otherwise go about your day.

How many Breath of Spring do I need to win the Spring Festival?

I’ve got two save files on the go in Fields of Mistria and on my first, I went about this pretty casually and managed to gather up 30 Breath of Spring. I came second, and made a second save file in order to try and come first because I’m nothing if not competitive. 

On my second go around, I neglected everything else in favor of gathering up this rare flower. I managed to store up 54 and came first. From research and talking to others who play, it seems that you’ll need a minimum of 50 Breath of Spring in order to knock Celine off of her winning pedestal.
