Whether you’re a serious farmer or simply looking to make some money through Farming or Fishing, it’s always worth making Fertilizers in Stardew Valley to speed up the process or make it less stressful in the long run. Although it’s possible to find Bone Fragments early on in any Artifact Spot outside of the Farm, you’re more likely to find them in large numbers once you’ve been playing for a while and have reached both the Desert and Ginger Island.

Here are all of the ways that you can get Bone Fragments in Stardew Valley:

  • Digging up Artifact Spots anywhere outside of the Farm
  • Slaying Skeletons on floors 71 – 79 of the Mines
  • Slaying Lava Lurks inside the Volcano Dungeon on Ginger Island
  • Destroying Bone Nodes on Ginger Island using your Pickaxe
  • Destroying crates or barrels inside Skull Cavern in the Desert
  • Possibly given as a gift from a pet dog with maximum friendship
