How to get and use the Haunted Rod in Fisch

The Halloween Event in Fisch has officially kicked off, giving players plenty of opportunities to experience the spooky season in their favorite Roblox fishing game. Alongside the ghastly Flying Dutchman ship, players can also obtain an exclusive Halloween event-themed Haunted Rod. Here is how to get the Haunted Rod in Fisch and what you can do with the event rod.

How to get the Haunted Rod

To get the Haunted Rod in Fisch, you’ll need to pick up a quest from the new Witch NPC and gather ingredients for her. You first need to head to the Witch NPC located on the starting island of Moosewood. From the starting docks, look at the island and head to the right on the coast. Here you will find a green-skinned Witch with several Cauldron’s, exclusive to the Halloween event. Speak to the Witch and he will give you the Haunted Rod quest: Collect 5 Ingredients to add to her Cauldron.

Here’s where things get a little tricky. Every five or so minutes, a server-wide message in green text will appear at the top of your screen, as seen in the screenshot above, that indicates that several Witches Ingredients have spawned on a random island. There’s no way to know which island the ingredients will spawn on, and the ingredients are server-wide meaning once someone picks them up, they are gone.

You need to quickly head to the island in the server-wide message, in the case of the screenshot above Mushgrove, and immediately start looking for the ingredients. They are easy to spot as they have a big text label above them indicating they are Witch Ingredients. The more players on your server, the more people you will have to contend with to get the randomly spawned ingredients each time, so we recommend trying to do this on a private server as you’ll be able to do it much more quickly.

Once you have the five Witch Ingredients, head back to Moosewood and visit the Witch. Interact with the cauldron directly in front of her and you will toss the Ingredients in. Once all five Ingredients have been added to the Cauldron, the Witch will reward you with the Haunted Rod! Keep in mind you can only obtain the Haunted Rod during the Fisch Halloween event, so you’ll want to grab it before the event ends!

What does the Haunted Rod do?

At a glance, it may seem like the Haunted Rod isn’t too good. Compared to some of the end-game rods in Fisch, its stats are a bit lackluster. However, the strength of the Haunted Rod lies in its special ability. The Haunted Rod allows you to catch the Halloween Event-specific Mutations even when the event is not active, including Ghastly and Sinister. This means the Haunted Rod won’t have much use during the current ongoing Halloween Event, but when it ends, you’ll still be able to acquire fish with the two event mutations.

While that’s the real power of the Haunted Rod, it still isn’t necessarily a bad rod option depending on which rod you’ve acquired prior to receiving it. Here are the stats for the Haunted Rod in Fisch:
