How to get and use a Bike in The Sims 4

To the races!

Bikes are nothing new to The Sims 4, and we’ve had access to them ever since Discover University was released back in November 2019. Not only are they good aesthetic items, but they also greatly increase the speed at which you can travel between lots, which is always useful.

Further bikes were added in the following packs:

  • Eco Lifestyle
  • Cottage Living (as part of the “Gnome on the Go” pre-order pack)
  • Growing Together
  • Businesses and Hobbies

If you’re wondering how to get a specific Bike, or how they work, here’s everything you need to know about Bikes in The Sims 4.

If you’ve got access to any of the packs mentioned above, you’ll have access to a Bike in-game. They can mostly be found in the Build and Buy menu, except for the Bike added with Eco Lifestyle, which can only be found by Dumpster Diving.

Here are all of the Bikes currently available in The Sims 4, along with how to get them, and how much they cost:

Options on offer when interacting with a bike in The Sims 4

Once you have a placed Bike, you can ride it by simply interacting with it. You’ll also be able to rename it, store it in your inventory, or set it as your preferred bike if you have more than one in your household.

Once a bike is in your inventory, you’ll be able to click anywhere in the world and have the option to “bike there,” a much quicker option to walking. Alternatively, you can place the bike in the world at any point and use it that way.
