When it comes to leveling newly unfamiliar classes in Final Fantasy XIV or picking up new classes such as Pictomancer or Viper, you may want to head to a Striking Dummy to figure out what you’re doing.
The newly increased level cap of 100 means that you might want to test your rotations against an equal-level Striking Dummy, and the level 100 Everkeep Striking Dummy is perfect for the purpose. If you’ve got a personal of FC house, you can place this item outside on the plot and test your mettle against it.
If you’ve unlocked The Spire of Trial and taken on the challenges it holds, you’ll be very familiar with this Striking Dummy and likely want to beat it up without the time restraints.
How to get the Everkeep Striking Dummy in Final Fantasy XIV
Before you can purchase the Everkeep Striking Dummy, you’ll need to complete the level 100 MSQ quest ‘Dawntrail’.
In order to get the Everkeep Striking Dummy, you’ll need to first unlock and take part in Hunts, because you’ll need Sacks of Nuts in order to purchase it. The Everkeep Striking Dummy can be purchased for 300 Sacks of Nuts from Ryubool Ja in Tuliyollal (X:13.9, Y:13.5).
Sacks of Nuts are obtained from hunts in Shadowbringers, Endwalker, and Dawntrail areas, but you’ll get the most Nuts for taking on Dawntrail Hunt Marks. To do this, you’ll need to unlock The Dawn Hunt by talking to Bol Ogaw in Tuliyollal (X:13.8, Y:13.6).
You can get a few Sacks of Nuts by completing your daily and weekly hunt marks in each expansion. These can be picked up from Hunt Boards in the following locations:
- Shadowbringers
- The Crystarium (X:9.5, Y:9.4)
- Endwalker
- Old Sharlayan (X:11.8, Y:13.2)
- Dawntrail
- Tuliyollal (X:13.8, Y:13.6)
The best way to get a lot of Sacks of Nuts is by joining a Hunt Train. These are community-organised, and your best bet to get in on one if by joining Faloop! and finding an upcoming Train on your server through their Discord Server.
