Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is the latest entrant to the world of gachas, and you can begin your journey with a few free characters.
Like every gacha, the main way to get new characters is by drawing on the banner. In Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium, the characters are commonly known as Dolls (keeping in tradition with the first title). The banners have an element of randomness to them, and they will require resources to draw. Thankfully, you can also get certain dolls for free at the start of the game.
How to obtain the free dolls in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium
There are three dolls you can obtain in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium for free. All three are now available immediately on the global version, and you can get them shortly after starting on your adventure. Whether we get to obtain more resources later remains to be seen, but having three dolls at the start is certainly a healthy head start.
Doll name | Rarity | How to unlock | Role | Signature Weapon |
---|---|---|---|---|
Cheeta | Standard | Cheeta is part of the game’s pre-registration campaign, so you won’t need to do anything apart from having signed up. All it would have taken was for enough players to have pre-registered. Since that target has been met, she’s obtainable as of writing, and you can get her right at the start. | Support | MP7-SMG |
Groza | Standard | Groza is part of the Appraisel Objectives event. You’ll have to complete the required quests of this event in order to unlock her. This can take a fair bit of time, and depend on your rate of progression. | Bulwark | OTS-14-Assault Rifle |
Vepley | Elite | Like Groza, Vepley is also part of the Appraisel Objectives event rewards. Hence, you can obtain her by making the required progression. | Vanguard | Vepr-12-Shotgun |
Out of the three choices, Vepley is an elite unit, but I would go with Cheeta and Groza. If Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium is anything like the first title, it will be pretty hard to build rare units. Additionally, Cheeta is a perfect partner to add to any squad due to the attack buffs. Your allies will also get three buffs at random for two turns.
Groza is certainly one of the best damage dealers you can have at the start. That will fall off eventually, but having a unit like her at the beginning has certain advantages.
While the three options might feel limited, getting a doll in Girls’ Frontline 2: Exilium isn’t a hard task. There could be more characters that might be provided for free in the future. If you want to make the best start possible, make sure to check out the reroll guide.
