The Plucky Squire is out now, and there is no shortage of achievements or trophies to unlock. Some of them are definitely easier than others, and some are downright infuriating, taking you down a mix of tasks like beating the game and finding a list of collectibles.

Rather than simply giving you the description provided by developers, I’ll give some pointers as to how each achievement is earned. You might miss a few of these on your first playthrough, particularly the collectibles and one-shot achievements such as “Perfect Fish Grab”.

Saviour of the GlitchbirdsRescue all GlitchbirdsGlitchbirds can be found in all chapters, often hiding in out-of-the-way areas.
Powerful JotFully upgrade Jot’s abilitiesYou purchase abilities at Martina’s Shop. Make sure to destroy all bushes and hit all the trees to save up bulbs.
The Joy of ArtFind an Art ScrollThe first Art Scroll is found behind a tree just after you find Violet in Chapter 1.
Powerful PuncherDefeat the Honey Badget in a boxing matchYou’ll need to do this as part of the main story in Chapter 1, just follow the prompts.
Cute Little GlitchbirdFind a GlitchbirdThe first Glitchbird is located in Chapter 1, immediately next to the path that leads to Tome Tower.
Perfect Fish GrabCatch Floatio on your first tryThis is harder than it sounds, and you might need to restart Chapter 4 a few times before you manage to grab this slippery fish on the first try.
Huge FrogRearrange a sentence to make the frog hugeReplace the word “tiny” with “huge” in Chapter 4.
Huge BridgeRearrange the sentence to make the bridge hugeFound on the same page as the Huge Frog achievement, replace the word “broken” with “huge”.
Cheese MushroomsRearrange the sentence to make some cheese mushroomsIn Chapter 6, solve the puzzle and place the word “cheese” in the gap of the sentence describing the mushrooms.
Metal WarriorDefeat the Mega EagleDefeat the Mega Eagle in Chapter 6. This is essentially a rhythm game.
Star WalkerRetrieve the scroll from the top of the star projectorIn Chapter 6, retrieve the Art Scroll from the top of the Star Projector using Zip to help.
Cheese PillarRearrange the sentence to make a cheese pillarIn Chapter 6, when you reach the page with pillars, head out of the book and go back a few pages to the page containing cheese. Bring the word to the new page and place it in one of the sentences about the pillars.
Mighty WitchDefeat the MageThis happens in Chapter 8. To defeat the Mage, you just have to win at a match 3 bubble shooter minigame.
WRETCHED RODENT!!!SIMPLY INFURIATINGIn Chapter 9, successfully complete all of the data center rhythm minigames.
Triumphant SquireDefeat the nefarious sorcerer HumgrumpYou’ll face off against Humgrump in Chapter 9, and defeating him requires you to complete the same three boss minigames that you’ve done previously, but at a much higher difficulty, then complete the actual Humgrump boss fight.
Bust BusterRearrange a sentence to blow up Humgrump’s BustIn Chapter 9, place the word “broken” in the sentence below Humgrump’s bust, then exit the book and use your Bomb Stamp to blow it up.
Story CompleteComplete the Story ModePlay through the main story and complete Chapter 10 on Story Mode
Adventure CompleteComplete the Adventure ModePlay through the main story and complete Chapter 10 on Adventure Mode
