If you’ve managed to clear a fair bit of content in Path of Exile 2‘s early access and are missing the Tinker’s Tool, then you’re not alone. In fact, a simple search on the internet shows all the massive problems the community has been experiencing at the moment.
This potential bug is related to the Mawdun Quarry region, and you can reach the spot shortly after beginning your journey. However, many players, including my colleague, seem to have run into the same problem — the Tinker’s Tool is missing.
Path of Exile 2 Missing Tinker’s Tool bug explained
Once you reach the Mawdun Quarry and clear the enemies present in the region, you should be getting the Tinker’s Tool. Unfortunately, it’s pretty much evident that players have managed to find this particular item, no matter how much they have searched for it.
Here’s the link to a post on the main forum, where several players have reported the problem that they have faced. From what we know so far, restarting the game doesn’t help. Few players have managed to clear the content twice, but even that hasn’t helped.
There’s a Trunk near the checkpoint, which might be the point of spawn for the Tinker’s Tool. Sadly, most players haven’t had the luck to find it so far.
Can you fix the Path of Exile 2 missing Tinker’s Tool bug
There is a possibility that this particular item might be associated with a quest you unlock later. Path of Exile 2 is in early access, and plenty of content is going to be added in the near future.
If it’s a bug, it’s more than likely going to be fixed soon by GGG with a future patch. The forum link makes it clear that the missing tools are a glaring issue being experienced by the players. Hence, hang tight and enjoy the rest of the content that’s currently available in early access.
Additionally, a forum moderator has mentioned that they are looking into the map pin and are not updating it for this. While the quest will show as complete, it’s the tools that will never pop up as a result of the bug.
