How to find the Isle of Doom in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4

Conquering Fortnite’s Isle of Doom is one of the most fun ways to become a powerful overlord. While these powers let you wipe out your opponents in the blink of an eye, encountering Doom Island in the first place is more challenging than you’d expect.

Where to find Doom Island in Fortnite

The Isle of Doom is a rare variant of the floating Loot Island that appears in every match. After four Storm circle phases have passed, Loot Island will appear at a random location on the map, with a five percent chance of turning into Doom Island. You’ll know it’s the Isle of Doom when a massive banner on your screen tells you of its change.

Doom Island behaves much like regular Loot Island. Both islands are large floating landmasses you can access with War Machine’s hover jets or nearby ziplines. For the Isle of Doom, you’ll also find a modified map icon and screen indicator for the island, making its exact location clear.

However, the Isle of Doom’s center differs from Loot Island’s, with it appearing as the Cauldron of Power instead of a fountain. The first player to activate the cauldron morphs into Doctor Doom, gaining the Armor of Doom and the doctor’s overpowered abilities for the remainder of the match.

All Armor of Doom abilities

Armor of Doom is a mythic-grade ability that transforms you into Doctor Doom himself. You’ll gain his skin and four unique skills, alongside gaining 500 shields and health. In other words, it’s a massive buff, but it comes at the cost of being unable to use weapons, potions, or medallions.

Below is every new ability Doctor Doom gets:

• Unlimited access to Doctor Doom’s Arcane Gauntlets, allowing you to launch small spherical projectiles at enemies at a much quicker rate.
• A Scorch Beam that launches a beam of energy wherever you aim, dealing damage every second and destroying structures instantly.
• Unlimited hovering abilities, including over water, paired with the MvC foot dive.
• A massive green orb you can launch after a short delay, destroying any nearby buildings and dealing massive damage to enemies instantly.
• Unlimited sprinting

In other words, getting Armor of Doom gives you high odds of eliminating most opponents, especially with the arsenal of new abilities you gain. As Doctor Doom, you’ll get both close- and long-range abilities, extra health, and excellent maneuverability, giving you a huge advantage against others. Getting a victory royale as Doom also gives you an exclusive “Victory von Doom!” banner, which makes the experience a little more fun.
