To celebrate April Fools’, Fortnite has a collection of silly quests for you to complete. Some of them are straightforward, but others are a bit tricky, as is the case with the “find the coolest player on the island” task.

This quest can be tough since you have to figure out who the coolest player on the island is and where they can be found. It’s a fairly doable task once you know what you’re looking for, so here’s how to find the coolest player on the island in Fortnite.

For the 2025 April Fools’ quests, the coolest player on the island in Fortnite is you, so to finish this task, you have to find a way to view yourself. This can only be done at specific locations around the island, so to complete it, you need to travel to one of the specified areas around the map.

Where to find the coolest player on the island in Fortnite

The coolest player on the island, which is you, can be found by viewing a mirror in Fortnite so you can see yourself. There are several locations you can visit to find one, including:

• Lonewolf Lair. Head into the fancy bathroom at this mansion to find a mirror you can look into.
• Brutal Boxcars. There is a mirror in both bathrooms at this location, so you can head inside either one to finish this task.
• The mountain cabin located slightly northeast of Foxy Floodgate. A mirror can be found in the bathroom here.
• The small house by flower fields south of Seaport City. There’s a mirror hanging over the sink in the bathroom at this home.

At all of these spots, you’re looking for a mirror to look into, and they can only be found in bathrooms. Once you’ve landed at any of these locations, look for the diamond icon with an exclamation point in it to find the exact right spot if you’re unsure of where the bathrooms are.

When you approach any of the mirrors at these spots, the quest should automatically be completed. I found it can be a bit glichy, though, so if it doesn’t work right away, jump on the sink in front of it to get closer. If this doesn’t work, break the sink and walk up to it again. Keep trying to approach the mirror from different angles until the quest is complete.

You only get 2,000 XP for finishing this quest, so it’s not much on its own, but if you complete additional ones, it adds up pretty quickly. Finishing three April Fools’ quests also gets you a bonus 30,000 XP, so tackling as many as possible is a great way to level up and unlock more rewards on the battle pass.
