How to find the Ancient Ruins in Disney Dreamlight Valley

What secrets does it hold?

The Ancient Ruins in Disney Dreamlight Valley are a location on Rift in Time’s Eternity isle you’ll visit a few times throughout the expansion’s storyline. However, it’s easy to forget where it is, especially since there’s no marker or text for it on your map, and it isn’t a place you explore daily.

How to find the Ancient Ruins in Disney Dreamlight Valley

You’ll find the Ancient Ruins west of The Docks near EVE’s house. By heading to Ancient’s Landing’s docks area, going west over the wooden bridge, and running past EVE’s, you’ll spot its massive entrance that you can enter freely.

However, you won’t be able to access the Ancient Ruins immediately. Unlocking the ruins requires starting the Sunken Ruins quest, which you’ll begin during Rift in Time’s second act. In other words, you won’t have much use for this area during the first act, and it’ll mainly act as a centerpiece until you unlock it.

What you find in the ruins will depend on your progression in Rift in Time’s story. During Sunken Ruins, you’ll clear away debris and discover a closed entrance in the central area before taking pictures of each chamber. Over time, you’ll solve various puzzles, unlock new areas in the ruins, and return here multiple times throughout the expansion’s storyline, including during Rift in Time’s third act.

How to solve the Ancient Ruins’ chamber puzzles

After you take pictures of all three chambers, you’ll have to solve the puzzles in each one. Doing this requires enlisting help from Gaston, Rapunzel, and EVE, which initiates the following quests:

Each quest has its own objectives, resource requirements, and item-fetching you’ll have to complete before returning to the ruins.

Once you return to the Ancient Ruins, you’ll have to solve the puzzles in each chamber. EVE’s room has you searching around the ruins for power coils, while Gaston’s requires removing debris and using mini LeFou on the pedestal. Rapunzel’s chamber room is the most challenging of them all, as you have to arrange the musical notes using hints from a memory you’ll find in the area.

Solving all three puzzles opens the trapdoor in the central room, bringing you one step closer to meeting a special character.
