As part of the first major update to Fields of Mistria, a new type of area was added within the Mines called Ritual Chambers. Alongside this, a new Artifact set was added to the Museum to be completed, and the two are intrinsically linked.
Ritual Chambers seem to be exceptionally rare, with my first ever Ritual Chamber showing up after three in-game days of constantly descending into the depths of the Mines. You’ll also need to put a lot of effort in before you can even unlock their ability to spawn.
How to find Ritual Chambers in Fields of Mistria
Before you can find Ritual Chambers, you’ll first need to unlock them. They’re part of the level 45 mining perk called “Lost to History”, so you’re going to be doing a lot of mining before you can purchase the perk. Once you’ve done some grinding and reached this high level, you’ll be able to interact with the statue in the entrance to the Mines and unlock the “Lost to History” perk for 155 Essence.
After that, everything is down to luck and RNG. There is no minimum level where a Ritual Chamber can spawn within the Mines, with my first spawning at level 19 and further ones at levels 32 and 54. The best method to maximize your chances of finding a Ritual Chamber is to start at level 0 and continue descending through the levels with your fingers crossed that one appears.
You’ll know when you’ve found a Ritual Chamber because it will be a mostly empty room with no enemies (including the new Mimic enemy), and just a large archaic, cauldron-esque pot in the middle. Interacting with this pot will cause it to throw out an Artifact.
Each of the Artifacts thrown out by the pots is part of the Ritual Artifact Set in the Museum, so make sure to hand them in as soon as you acquire them. These artifacts can only be found in Ritual Rooms, so it’s definitely something to aim towards.
I haven’t managed to collect all of the items as of yet, but I’ll update this with their identities and the reward for handing in all five as soon as I do.
