How to find Red Loong in Black Myth: Wukong

Bringing a stick to a dragon fight.

There are a handful of secret dragon bosses hidden throughout Black Myth: Wukong, and Red Loong is the one that lurks in the forests of chapter one.

Red Loong is hidden very close to the start of the game, but you wonā€™t actually be able to fight the dragon until youā€™ve made your way through a portion of chapter two. Thatā€™s because you need to find the Loong Scales before you can unlock the secret area where Red Loong lives. The Scales are inside a chest behind a breakable wall in the First Prince of Flowing Sands boss arena. After youā€™ve collected them, youā€™re ready to go dragon hunting.Ā

How to find Red Loong

To find Red Loong, youā€™ll need to travel to the Outside the Forest shrine. Follow the path forward past two enemies until you reach another enemy guarding a wooden bridge. Defeat him, then jump off the bridge and follow the stream to your right. You know youā€™re heading in the right direction when you start hearing a disembodied voice speaking. Travel far enough upstream, and youā€™ll find a waterfall thatā€™s pouring into the forest.

If you have the Loong Scales in your inventory, youā€™ll have the option to interact with the waterfall when you approach it. The Scales would cause the water to disappear, and behind it lies the entrance to Red Loongā€™s boss arena. Iā€™d recommend waiting until youā€™ve cleared most of chapter two before circling back for this boss fight because itā€™ll make the encounter much easier.

With that said, Red Loong isnā€™t a particularly difficult boss. It mostly relies on tail swipe attacks and a couple of different stomps. The main thing you need to worry about is electricity damage building up over time. Craft some Shocking-Quelling Powder at a shrine, and you should be just fine.
