Many Ancestor Skills are quick to find and acquire in Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. But there are a couple that took some time for me to locate. One example is the Free Fast Travel Ancestor Skill, but I can show you how to quickly find it in Avatar: FoP.
Similar to the Ghost Strike skill, the Free Fast Travel Ancestor Skill Tarsyu Plant is hidden below ground. The in-game map really isn’t all that helpful at explaining the depth of a point of interest. You may have spent a good few minutes or more wandering around just above the thing. Let me point you in the right direction.
Look for a crack in the wall to find the Free Fast Travel Ancestor Skill in Avatar: FoP
There’s a cave you need to locate if you’re looking for the skill. You’ll find the Tarsyu Plant in The Grasping Mountain near the center of the Clouded Forest area. Head toward the mountain on the back of your Ikran while going at a northeastern angle.
Look for what appears to be a large crack in the stone. Just below the crack is a grassy platform with a small pond. Your first step should be clear: Get in close and land near the pond.
Once you touch dirt, head toward the crack. There are a series of steps you can climb. Go all the way to the top and you should see the telltale blue ‘fireflies’ that indicate you’re near a tarsyu plant.
You should see an entrance leading into a large crack that goes deep into the mountain. Head inside and platform-hop until you reach a gap to duck under. Go in and keep traversing, but watch out for the Blistering Root on the cave floor; it burns when you touch it.
Continue until you reach a flooded chamber. Walk up the slope cast in purple light and go up the path. Duck under another one more gap between the wall and floor and soon you’ll reach the plant.
What does Free Fast Travel do?
The Free Fast Travel skill does pretty much what it says right on the tin. Typically, fast traveling in the game will burn up around 20% of your stamina with each use. But with the skill acquired, you’ll no longer lose stamina when you want to hop from location to location.
It’s a good skill to have, but not really the best. Food items are plentiful, and from my experience, you can still fast travel even with zero stamina. But hey, at least you won’t need to worry about your energy levels when you’re hunting down one of this game’s dozens and dozens of collectibles.
