It’s very easy to get stuck in a routine in Fields of Mistria. Farm, socialize, head into the Mines, and sleep. Sometimes it’s worth breaking routine and exploring off of the beaten track. If you do, you might find hidden gems like the Wishing Well just off of the Eastern Road.
The Wishing Well isn’t a part of any quest, though it is a way to get your hands on items which you may not be able to afford or otherwise get in the usual or expected ways.
How to get to the Wishing Well in Fields of Mistria
The Wishing Well is on the easternmost side of the map, close to the ruins on the Eastern Road and near to where you arrived over the broken bridge which has since been repaired using our resources.
To begin with, it’s behind a giant boulder which cannot be removed with a Worn Pickaxe. To remove this rocky obstacle, you’ll first need to upgrade to a Copper Pickaxe. To get your hands on one, you’ve got two choices:
- Enter into the Mines and gather up 40 Copper Ore on floors 1 to 20, turning it into four Copper Ingots at the Forge, and then into a Copper Pickaxe.
- If you’ve unlocked the Mines, you can purchase a Copper Pickaxe (along with other Copper tools) from the Blacksmith for 1,000 Tesserae each.
Once you’ve got your Copper Pickaxe, you can break through the boulder and make your way to the Wishing Well.
What does the Wishing Well do in Fields of Mistria?
When you interact with the Wishing Well, you will be given three choices:
- Throw in 100 Tesserae
- Throw in 500 Tesserae
- ‘Not today’
If you choose to throw in any Tesserae, you will always be rewarded with an item that is worth more than the amount you threw in.
Items available when 100 Tesserae is offered include:
- Speedy Infusion Latte
- Blueberry Jam
- 2 Rubies
- Soup Pot Hat cosmetic
- Cow Halo animal cosmetic
- Spring Salad
Items available when 500 Tesserae are offered include:
- 3 Diamonds
- 2 Pink Diamonds
- 2 Silver Ingots
- Berry Bowl or recipe
- Spicy Cheddar Biscuit
- Fried Rice or recipe
