How to find and damage demons in Fortnite

Demons are invading Fortnite, and it’s up to you to help Kendo, Jade, and the other warriors scattered around the map to stop them. While they’re not too challenging to defeat individually, finding a group of them or tackling demons and other players at the same time can be overwhelming.

Where to find demons in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1

Demons can spawn all over Fortnite’s map through various landmark portals. Not every portal is active during your match. Instead, you’ll have to look for the demon’s map icons. You’ll also spot some demons around Kendo and Jade when you first meet them.

Below is a map of every Demon portal that can become active during your Fortnite match.

Alongside waiting for portals to spawn in demons, you can also locate them using their samurai map icons. I found a demon fighting Kendo and Jade near Twinkle Terrace and Nightshift Forest, allowing me to quickly complete their story quest task without too many issues.

You’ll know some demons are nearby when you see an active portal in a landmark. Inactive ones won’t have any glow to them and will just appear as regular portal frames. If they’re active, you’ll find a red-pink portal inside that, although you can’t enter, indicates there are demons nearby. There might be some players around, too, so be careful.

Once you approach a demon’s map icon or portal, you’ll usually spot at least one patrolling an area or fighting nearby NPCs. Once you find them, they’re not too difficult to defeat, but it’s still worth grabbing a gun and some shields before trying. The real threat is other players who’ll try to take the kill and eliminate you, so watch your surroundings in case a random car or person comes in for a surprise attack.
