The Fischmas update is now live in Fisch, and the Northstar Serpent is probably one of the hardest ones to catch among all the recent additions.
While it’s categorized as a fish, the mythical serpent is a majestic beast that will be pretty hard to catch. It appears to be exclusive to the festival, and the spawn rates are rare. There’s no way to guarantee a catch, but what you could do is improve the odds in your favor with the correct equipment and weather.
Northstar Serpent location in Fisch
The Northstar Serpent can be found in and around the coast of Winter Village, and you can reach there using the Snow Globe. Once you’ve logged in, post the update, and you’ll find the globe in your inventory. From there, you’ll have to move it to the Hotpar. Click on it, and you’ll be teleported to the Winter Village.
I found this really helpful guide from SargantZafron, which helped me to reach a location northwest of the village. Once you take the road and travel straight, you’ll find Santa’s Workshop. Go left, make a jump, and you’ll find a line going down to a circular landing spot. This spot is specifically known to have a higher odd for the Northstar Serpent.
It’s also likely that there might be a better spot to catch this rare creature; if that’s the case, we will update the location on our guide.
Best Fisch equipment set up to catch the Northstar Serpent
The Northstar Serpent can spawn at any time, but it prefers a Foggy weather. As of writing, the largest caught is 18743.4 kg, so it’s a gigantic fish. Here are a few rods that you can use to help you land the catch.
- Steady Rod is the perfect choice for beginners, as there are codes that will help them get the required credits. It has a max weight capacity of 100,000 kg and is available for only 7,000 credits.
- Rod of the Depths is another great choice that offers 65% Lure Speed and 130% luck. You also get 10% Resilience and a max weight capacity of 30,000 kg.
- Rod of the Eternal King is another good choice if you can afford it in the first place. With 25% Lure Speed and 150% Luck, it will help you reel in the mythical creature.
As for the bait, you can go in with two choices – Seaweed and Holly Berry. If you’re looking for the latter, you can buy it from the festival shop in Winter Village. Holly Berry buffs both your Preferred and Universal Luck, but there will be a negative speed on the Lure Speed.
For the enchantments, you can go with Steady or Quality. The Northstar Serpent has a -90% on your progress speed, and that’s where Steady comes in. Quality is always a good choice since it boosts almost all the stats in a well-covered fashion.
Ultimately, it’s all about luck, as you’re not going to hook these creatures every time. But with the correct setup, you’ll be able to reel it in at the first opportunity.
