Get your popcorn ready.

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dreamlight Parks Fest event is live from May 15 until June 5. During the next few weeks, you’ll collect five different button types and use them to craft themed furniture items to decorate your village. Let’s talk about every button type in the Dreamlight Parks Fest event and how to use them.

All button types in Disney Dreamlight Valley Parks Fest

Disney Dreamlight Valley’s Dreamlight Parks Fest event features five button types:

  • Red buttons – Randomly spawn around Villager houses.
  • Blue buttons – Randomly appear as you fish in Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow.
  • Green buttons – Daily quest rewards
  • Flower buttons – Randomly spawn around the plaza and Peaceful Meadow.
  • Purple buttons – Craft using Red and Blue buttons.

Collecting each button type will unlock new Popcorn Bucket furniture items to place around your village. Creating every item requires hundreds of buttons, so be prepared to do a lot of questing, fishing, and foraging as you look for each type.

Red buttons

You’ll find red buttons commonly spawning around and inside villager houses. You’ll often see these buttons outside on the ground with sparkles around them, occasionally spawning indoors, too. You need two red buttons for every purple button you craft, so be prepared to hunt for many of these if you want to make every Dreamlight Parks Fest furniture item.

Blue buttons

Next on the list are blue buttons, which you get by fishing in Dazzle Beach and Peaceful Meadow. Focus on white fishing circles as you fish, as these buttons spawn exclusively in these spots. Fishing in regular water or higher-tier fishing spots will give you fish instead, so only target white circles if you’re button-hunting.

Green buttons

Unlike the other button types, green buttons have a limited daily spawn, as you can only get them by completing daily and weekly missions. The characters below can give you daily green button quests:

  • Scrooge McDuck
  • Ursula
  • WALL-E
  • Mickey Mouse
  • Moana

Finishing their daily quests requires cooking cupcakes and gifting them to villagers, netting you four green buttons each time. You’ll need well over 100 green buttons to craft every Popcorn Bucket item, so complete your quests each day to have enough.

Flower buttons

Flower buttons appear as flowers around the Plaza and Peaceful Meadow. The buttons themselves are a bright yellow, with the flowers being reminiscent of red passion lilies. You’ll know you’ve spotted a flower button when you see a unique red flower sparkling on the ground.

Purple buttons

Lastly, purple buttons are a crafting-exclusive item you make using blue and red buttons alongside 100 Dreamlight. These are by far the hardest to get, as you need to farm blue and red buttons of top of Dreamlight to make them. Although you won’t need hundreds of these like you do with other button types, you’ll still need a few dozen, so keep an eye on how many you have as you make your Popcorn Buckets.

How to use buttons in Disney Dreamlight Valley Parks Fest

Once you have your buttons in your inventory, head to your crafting bench and into the furniture menu to find your Dreamlight Parks Fest furniture. The main feature of this event is Popcorn Buckets, which you make using your buttons. Different buckets require different numbers of buttons, but green and flower buttons are the most common types.

As you make your buckets, you can combine these with other furniture items, alongside those you unlock throughout the Dreamlight Parks Fest event, to decorate your Disney Dreamlight Valley village. You have until June 5 to make every item and complete the event’s quests, so be sure to start as soon as possible to get a head start.
