Throughout Fortnite’s Star Wars event, you’ll encounter multiple new weapons, from the E-11 Blaster to the powerful Wookiee Bowcaster. Not only do you need the Bowcaster for various quests, but in the right hands, it’s a powerful weapon that can quickly turn the tides of a fight with ease.
Where to find Chewbacca’s Wookiee Bowcaster in Fortnite x Star Wars event
You can find the Wookiee Bowcaster as floor or chest loot, particularly from Imperial Chests at Roadblocks. When visiting Imperial Roadblocks, you also have a chance to spot Chewbacca, whom you can free from captivity to receive the Bowcaster as a reward.
Each method has its advantages. If you’re lucky and encounter Chewbacca at your first or second Imperial Roadblock, you can quickly defeat nearby enemies and free him to receive the Bowcaster. However, someone else may beat you to this or eliminate you if you’re focused on Chewbacca. Similarly, if someone arrives at a camp before you, they may loot nearby chests or floor loot before you do, making it much more challenging to get your Bowcaster.
You have several options with this in mind. Traveling to a Roadblock before other players can help you get floor or chest loot quickly, allowing you to potentially grab a Bowcaster and eliminate other nearby players. If someone beats you to a spot, you can go to another roadblock or attempt to defeat them and pick up their weapons. Alternatively, you can continue visiting Roadblocks until you find Chewbacca at the risk of encountering other players or getting targeted by Stormtroopers.
How you go about it is up to you and will depend on your situation, but these are all viable ways to get your hands on the Bowcaster. Once you get a Bowcaster, you’ll have access to its unlimited ammo, strong but slow-firing bolts, and its charged explosive bolt attacks.
How to blast players with Charged Attacks from the Bowcaster
During Fortnite’s Star Wars event, you can attack other players using the Bowcaster by holding your attack button until the small bar around your crosshair fills. A full bar indicates the bolt is fully charged, allowing you to launch it at nearby enemies to deal massive damage. Sometimes, you can instantly eliminate someone if you get a headshot or target someone with low health.
As a bonus, the Bowcaster’s explosive bolt has an area-of-effect attack. You can damage multiple nearby players or enemies with it, making it a great weapon for cleaning up after a fight if the situation calls for it.
Once you blast a few players using the Bowcaster’s charged attack, you’ll complete one of the Star Wars event’s objectives, getting you one step closer to unlocking new exclusive cosmetics.
