How to fast-forward time in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

To fast-forward time in Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, hold the right bumper button and the Y button on your controller. This will cause Sho to spin his magical sword in the area, and time will pass much quicker. The more important question is when you should do this.

On arrival in any new area, you should fully explore. Find areas of corruption and cleanse them in order to earn the valuable orbs that allow you to progress that path and set roles for the villagers. There may be small plants you can attack for more points, pots that contain healing items, or even corrupted animals that you can strike with your sword to save them, earning more healing items.

Grab any resources that are around, and set your villages to work on anything that can be repaired or potentially removed. This can include rockfalls that block off certain shrines or barriers that can be repaired by the carpenter that will stop the enemies for long enough to make them light work for your archers.

You should also carefully plan how much of the path you want to set by hitting B near Yoshiro and how far down it you wish her to go. Remember, if the ghostly Yoshiro at the end of the path is white, she will not reach the end of the path by nightfall. If it is blue, then she will, and you won’t need to fight another wave of enemies.

This allows you to set your defenses and villagers in the right areas to defend her, as the enemies will constantly try to make their way to her at night and can kill her very quickly if you leave gaps in your defenses. After all, this has been taken into consideration, and you are sure you have gathered all available resources, you can forward time; just make sure to take your foot off the gas a little before nightfall to ensure you have enough time to make any changes before the enemies start coming.

How to tell what time of day it is?

In the bottom left-hand corner of your screen, there will be a small HUD element that shows the sun traveling across the sky. The closer it is to dipping behind the mountain on the right side, the closer it is to nightfall. The same applies to the moon. As it travels across and gets closer to the right side, the closer it is to daylight, which will automatically kill any demons that are on the map.
