How to farm Sola Toroids in Warframe

The yellow spherical object is not to be confused with Endo.

Some of the more elusive materials found in the Orb Vallis are the various Toroids. With five different types, it’s a bit hard to remember which does what. Specifically, we’ll focus on Sola Toroids, where to find them, and how to efficiently farm them in Warframe.

Repeat the Profit-Taker Phase 3 Bounty

If you are Rank 5 – Old Mate in Fortuna, you can take this route. This means that you are now able to take on the extra set of bounties with Eudico. Also, you should bring an arsenal of weapons along for this chore, all with different elemental damage types.

It’ll be wise to create a dedicated loadout with a set of weapons with high damage, crit, and diverse damage types, too. This will also be useful for when you take on Phase 4.

Phase 3 introduces you to the Profit-Taker’s weakness rotation mechanic, and that’s why you need such a diverse loadout. Whatever element is projected on the front of the boss is what it’s weak to. If you only have slash weapons with viral, you’ll be spending a lot of time rotating the weaknesses until your damage types show up.

Run this bounty as quickly as possible because the Sola Toroids are a possible reward at the end. They aren’t guaranteed, but to boost your chances of getting a few, try to let the alert level go all the way to 4.

Higher alert levels start spawning field bosses like the Kyta Raknoid. Those are the yellow, quad-legged robots with the spinning lasers. Killing them also yields possible Sola Toroids. They are quite tanky and lethal, so engage with care.

Farm enemies at the Temple of Profit

For people who aren’t Old Mate in Fortuna yet or want a more consistent method to farm the resource, this is the way to go. The Temple of Profit is located at the top left of the map. It’s the area with the giant tower of Nef Anyo.

What you want to do here is kill enemies until the alert level hits 4. Keep some Corpus Crewmen alive since they occasionally deploy those beacons that call in reinforcements. When you start seeing them performing the animation to do so, let them finish. While you’re at it, avoid using area-of-effect (AoE) weapons that might destroy those beacons.

The aforementioned beacons are what keep the threat level high, spawning more and stronger enemies. Eventually, you’ll start encountering Eximus enemies with the new Overguard mechanic and even field bosses. These enemies have higher chances of dropping the sought-after Sola Toroids. Finally, a good way to increase your chances of these resources dropping is to use loot-enhancing abilities like Nekros’ Desecrate, Hydroid’s Pilfering Swarm, or Khora’s Pilfering Strangledome.

What are Sola Toroids used for?

These items are used as a means of earning Rep and leveling up with the Vox Solaris faction and for crafting components. Some of the best Operator amp parts come from this faction, along with some strong Arcane Enhancements, cosmetics, and other Warframe parts. Chances are, most players try to farm Sola Toroids for ranking up with Vox Solaris, as you need to reach the max rank to have access to all the wares in the shop. At most, you need six of these to sacrifice and hit max level with the faction. After that, the rest should be used for crafting.
