How to farm Salt in Throne and Liberty

These enemies are a little salty.

Much like the real world, one of the most used ingredients in Throne and Liberty’s cooking system is salt. You need this for everything, from soups to stir-fry and even basic fried eggs. However, unlike the real world, getting salt requires eliminating enemies or sending your Amitoi to acquire some.

Where to get Salt in Throne and Liberty

Throne and Liberty offers two ways to farm salt:

  • Defeat enemies along the Throne and Liberty map’s coastline
  • Send Amitoi on expeditions

Enemies that reside in regions like Windhill Shores and Daylight Shore have a chance of dropping salt. Although it’s an uncommon drop, you can get several per hour if you’re consistently fighting monsters in these regions.

Alternatively, you can send Amitoi on expeditions after starting the Adventures of the Expedition quest. You can find salt in the following regions:

  • Windhill Shores
  • Urstella Fields
  • Monolith Wastelands
  • Abandoned Stonemason Town
  • Moonlight Desert
  • Sandworm Lair

Your best bet is to send an Amitoi here just before you start hunting monsters that drop salt. That way, you can defeat enemies for a while before returning to the Amitoi House, collecting your rewards, and repeating the process until you have all the salt you need.

While Windhill Shores monsters are low-level and don’t pose much of a threat, Daybreak Shore enemies range between levels 36-40, making them much more challenging to fight. However, they also have might higher odds of dropping salt than their Laslan counterparts, so it’s worth making the trip over here if you’re a mid- to late-game player.
