How to Exalt Items in No Rest For The Wicked

With the rework update of The Crucible in No Rest For The Wicked also came a new way to customize your gear with Exalting. The process of Exalting items is not overly complicated, but you should keep a few things in mind when doing it.

How to Exalt an Item in No Rest For The Wicked

To even begin Exalting an item, you must first find The Seneschal in The Crucible. He is a bit…unusual to say the least, but he will allow you to Exalt your gear provided you can give him Gloomseeds. This is a special resource only found within The Crucible and is obtained by killing enemies in it. The amount of Gloomseeds you get from a kill depends on the power of the enemy.

Once you find The Seneschal, you must first offer 30 Gloomseeds to him to unlock the Glorious Exaltation option in his Offerings menu.

This will take you at least two runs, but more likely three based on the average amount of seeds you can obtain per. When you’ve offered the seeds, you can select Exalt Items from the Seneschal’s menu option.

From this menu, you can select any gear you have in your inventory to Exalt. Exalting boosts every stat your gear has but has no such effect on any of the negative attributes. You can Exalt any piece of gear, regardless of its rarity. Even so, gear of a higher rarity tends to yield bigger stat gains.

The higher the rarity, the more additional Gloomseeds it will cost to conclude and finish the process. Finally, keep in mind that a successful Exalt cannot be undone, so be sure to pick the correct pieces of gear to enhance.

The good news is that if you’re not happy with your Exalts, you can always obtain more Gloomseeds by running The Crucible over again. It can be run endlessly provided you have the Fallen Embers needed to open The Crucible.

Where to get Fallen Embers in No Rest For The Wicked

If you’re short on Fallen Embers or have no idea where to get them in the first place, then you’re in luck. Fallen Embers are most commonly found within chests located all over the gameworld of No Rest For The Wicked. I’ve found that they tend to be even more common within early-progressed Realms where the main storyline has not yet altered the landscape—the start of the game.

Literally, any chest you find can contain Fallen Embers, so just go around hunting them. They tend to drop in hefty quantities too, so it won’t take you long to stockpile a bunch for entering The Crucible.
