How to evolve Gligar into Gliscor in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet

Cute but deadly

Gligar is one of the cutest Pokemon that’s ever graced the screen. It looks like a ’90s mascot straight out of Kid Dracula or Demon’s Crest, and I can’t get enough of it. It’s also been around a really long time (since the second generation!). Here’s how to get a Gligar and evolve it into a Gliscor in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet.

Where to find Gligar in Pokemon Scarlet

Gligar is an exclusive Scarlet creature. You can find them on the eastern border of Kitakami in the Teal Mask DLC zone, as well as the northwestern corner of the map. As a ground and flying type they’re generally littered about areas beyond bodies of water (the game describes them as inhabiting “barren areas”). We had a lot of luck finding them in the northwestern corner, in the Paradise Barrens.

They’re common spawns, so don’t worry about any sort of legwork to sniff them out.

How to evolve Gligar into Gliscor in The Teal Mask

Gligar will need to be equipped with a Razor Fang as a held item. Once that’s taken care of, just level it up once at night (if it’s not night, wait around until the in-game real-time clock swaps from day to night).

Oh hey, we have a full guide on how to get a Razor Fang right here! It’s actually an early reward for Kitakami region Pokedex completion.

Can you get a Gligar or Gliscor in Pokemon Violet?

You can get a Gligar and/or a Gliscor through trading, or through a potential raid event.
