Fortnite‘s new weekly Quests have arrived, and April 16’s challenges task you with purchasing the “Patch Up Service from Characters or Mending Machines.” If you’re not sure what this means or need help doing it, I’ve got you covered.
Every week, Epic Games adds a new set of weekly Quests, which have a handy XP reward for those who complete them. That XP can be used to rank up your Battle Pass, unlocking new skins and cosmetic items.
This week, one of the most difficult tasks appears to be “Purchase the Patch Up Service from Characters or Mending Machines.” If you’re not aware of the service, this could prove to be quite confusing but don’t worry, as I can explain it all to you.
Easiest way to purchase Patch Up service in Fortnite
The easiest way to complete this challenge is to land on an NPC character. You will need to first jump off something high and take a little bit of fall damage, then go and interact with the NPC. They will then offer you the Patch Up Service, which you can use Gold Bars to buy.
Once you’ve done this, you’ll receive a notification alerting you that the challenge is complete, and you can move on to your next challenge.
If you’re not sure where to land, you can check the map below to see NPC locations in Fortnite.
You can also purchase the Patch Up Service from Mending Machines, but they are usually in busy areas so I wouldn’t recommend going one errand to do it. If you happen to walk past one though, it’s a handy way to finish the challenge.
What is Fortnite’s Patch Up Service?
Fortnite‘s Patch Up Service lets you spend Gold Bars to top up your health after you’ve taken damage. It’s obviously easier and cheaper to use bandages or a med kit, but if you’re absolutely stuck and need some help, an NPC can patch you up and send you back into the action.
