Mortal Kompany.

Are you already seasoned in Lethal Company to the point of finding its challenges unworthy of your time? Ok, The Terminator, then I’m happy to tell you that they’ve made a mod just for you. It’s called Brutal Company” and it’s all about bringing exceeding hardship and chaos your way.

What is the Brutal Company mod?

Do you know how the devs spend a lot of time ensuring a beautiful balance that makes games challenging while preventing things from getting too hard? The modders behind the Brutal Company mod seemingly spent a lot of time finding a way to break that balance. The result is moon events that happen at random, as well as an avalanche of known and unknown monsters that you may or may not be able to deal with.

How to install the Brutal Company mod

Installation is the only easy part here. You need to access the mod’s page right here. Click on Manual download to get the Brutal Company mod. Now, unless you’ve previously downloaded them to use with another mod, you’ll need BepInEx-BepInExPack and 2018-LC_API.

Those are two toolsets that make Lethal Company mods work. Once you’ve downloaded all three items, you need to move the contents of the two packs and the mod to the game’s installation folder.

If you’re having trouble finding your installation folder, go to your Steam library, left-click on Lethal Company, and choose properties. A window will pop up. Pick the Installed Files tab and click on Browse.

Then, go to the BepInEx folder, and copy and paste all its contents to your Lethal Company installation folder. Do the same with the contents of the 2018-LC_API folder and the contents of your downloaded Brutal Company mod folder. Run the game and you’ll know that your tweaking was successful if the bottom left corner of your screen says v40MOD.

Another — less practical way — to confirm that the mod is now working, is if you end up stumbling upon this entity, the mysterious “Lasso Man”.

This mod can work together with other mods, like Bigger Lobby, but there’s one thing to bear in mind. Unlike Bigger Lobby, which requires all people to have the same version of the mod installed, running Brutal Company requires that only the host has it installed. That means that you can totally enjoy Brutal Company without doing anything. All you have to do is join a host who has it installed. The mod seems to be pretty straightforward and to run with no issues, so all I’m left with is wishing you some brutal scrapping.

You can now experience the unchecked brutality of Lethal Company on PC via Steam.
