How to detonate the charges in the Biomass Wall in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2

Burst every pustule.

One of the missions in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 requires you to detonate a disgusting Biomass Wall as you attempt to rescue those who have been caught in a blast. The Tyranids can get in the way of this, so it pays to know what to do to keep the story moving.

In the third main mission in Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2, you’ll rescue a Magos. This isn’t a mage or a magician. It’s the Warhammer 40K equivalent of something between a priest and a scientist. They’re responsible for researching the most advanced technology in the universe, developing powerful weapons, and keeping secrets. The trouble is, the Tyranids are doing what they do best, and have created a big wall of Biomass in your way.

This mission is the first time you’ll get to play around with the Jump Pack. It allows you to launch into the air, hover and shoot, land with a devastating melee attack, or dash to reach high points. This is how you’ll place the charges around the Biomass Wall. But that’s just the easy part.

To actually detonate these charges, you must battle the Tyranids around the area and make your way to the Assembly point. You can see an icon for this location once you’ve placed every charge. When you and your team have assembled there, you can hit the button prompt to detonate the charges and bring down the Biomass Wall.

There are loads of Tyranids in this area, and they’ll all make your life incredibly difficult. While I was playing through it, I found that I needed every execution I could get to restore my armor and keep on fighting. There are ranged Tyranids, heavy Tyranid soldiers, swarms of smaller enemies, and a few that’ll float in to buff the others.

Up to this part of the mission, you’ll have been using flame-based weapons because you’ve been in the dark interiors of a lab with tiny Tyranids that are scared of light. Now, though, you can use whatever you want. I recommend Frag Grenades for the crowds and a Bolt Caster with the grenade attachment if you can find one lying around.

Blast the Tyranids from the sky and land among them with a heavy melee attack. This is the best way to deal with crowds. There are caves around the area you can hide in if your health gets too low, but if you get every execution you can, that shouldn’t be too much of a problem.
