There are multiple ways to catch Whimstars in Infinity Nikki, although most of them can just be found in the wilds of Miraland and collected simply by running up to them. Other than this, there are five ways that you can discover Whimstars:

  • Approaching glowing orbs that will then create a circle. You’ll need to interact with a star-shaped object inside this circle to collect a Whimstar.
  • Approaching a Whimstar outline that will spawn a timed course of stars to collect, resulting in a Whimstar appearing when all are collected successfully.
  • Fishing up glowing fish that turn into Whimstars
  • Grooming glowing ferret-esque creatures that will also turn into Whimstars
  • Catch a glowing bug that will turn into a Whimstar

Thankfully, all of the stars included in the Whimstar Collection event are relatively easy to find if you don’t mind a jumping puzzle or going off the beaten track. Here’s how to get them all and complete day one of the Wishfield Journal event in Infinity Nikki.

How to find “A Whimstar Decoration” in Infinity Nikki

“Find the vine-covered Whimstar under the eaves by the river in Florawish.”

To find this one, head to the location marked on the map above and you’ll see a glowing orb on the roof of the house there. Walk up to this orb, and it will spawn a circle around the house where you’ll need to find a star-shaped item.

You’ll find the vine-covered star in the window of the house, and interacting with it will cause a Whimstar to appear on the roof of the house for you to collect.

How to find a “Whimstar over Florawish”

“Get the Whimstar on the dome of the Circular Plaza in the Ruins.”

To find this one, head to the north of the map (as shown above) and make your way up to the roof of the Dream Warehouse Tower. You can do this by jumping up the broken-down ruins nearby and then using the Floating Ability Outfit to float over to the roof.

Once you’re up there, you’ll be able to use webbing trampolines and your Floating Ability Outfit to make your way across the gap to get your hands on the Whimstar on the roof opposite.

How to find a “Little Big Whimstar” in Infinity Nikki

“Trade small Whimstars for large ones at the Florawish fishing association.”

The Fishing Association is located pretty far south of Florawish itself, so you’ll need to do some adventuring to find this one. I’ve marked the location on the map above. When you get there, interact with the glowing orb and a pink cloud will appear on a track.

You technically don’t need to hop onto the pink cloud, but you’ll need to collect up all of the stars that appear to make a proper Whimstar to appear at the end of the track, allowing you to collect it.

How to catch a Whimflutter in Infinity Nikki

“Catch a Whimflutter using the Bug-Catching Outfit.”

I can’t really guide you through this one too much, as Whimflutters show up pretty randomly. What I can tell you is that if you see a purple glowing butterfly on the horizon, you should run towards it with Bug-Catching as your selected ability. They flutter pretty high up, so you might need to jump around to catch one.
