Warzone players have been thoroughly enjoying the DMZ mode since its release, and with the introduction of the Vondel exclusion zone in Season 4, missions have become even more enjoyable and challenging. Among the new missions added in the latest update, you will come across a Tier 3 mission for the Black Mous faction called “Researcher’s Dilemma.” This mission follows the standard DMZ format, consisting of three objectives.

Firstly, you need to locate the researcher’s note within the Vondel Zoo veterinary office. Once found, proceed to the church near the castle in the same deployment and place the researcher’s notes there. Afterward, retrieve the false notes from the church and return to the Veterinary Office in the same deployment to place them there.

It’s important to note that this mission takes place within the new exclusion zone, and the surroundings may be unfamiliar to you. Therefore, this guide is here to provide assistance and ensure a smooth progression through the mission.

Where to find the Researcher’s Note?

To begin, make your way to the Vondel Zoo Veterinary Office, situated in the southern left corner of the Vondel Zoo area as indicated on the provided map. Keep in mind that this building often functions as a Stronghold, so it is advisable to carry a Stronghold Key Card as a backup. Additionally, once inside the veterinary office, you will need a Veterinarian Key to access the Animal Care Room, where the Researcher’s Note is located.

Obtaining the Veterinarian Key is possible by completing the Tier 1 Phalanx Mission Cross Town. Alternatively, you may come across it while exploring the map or completing HVTs. Once you have acquired the key, proceed to the Animal Care Room. On the left side of the room, you will discover the Vondel Gas Researcher Notes, along with other valuable loot.

In the event that the Researcher’s Note is not present, it is likely that another player has already retrieved it. If this occurs, you will need to attempt the mission again in a different deployment.

Place the Researcher’s Note in the Church

Next, you will need to proceed towards the Church located near the Castle. Since it is a considerable distance from the Zoo, it is advisable to utilize a vehicle for faster travel. The Church is situated just south of the Castle, clearly marked on the map.

Once you arrive at the Church, there are two ways to reach the second floor. You can either enter the church and climb up the ladder, or you can access the roof by climbing the ladder outside the church and then descend through the ladders in the bell tower to reach the second floor. Once on the second floor, retrieve the false notes and replace them with the actual notes. This step will successfully fulfill the second objective of the mission.

Place the False Notes back in the Veterinary Office

For the final phase of the mission, you will need to make your way back to the Veterinary Office and return the False Notes to the original location, where you initially obtained the Researcher’s Note. It is crucial to note that all of these actions must be completed within a single deployment. Upon successfully placing the notes back, the mission will be marked as completed.
