BitLife It’s Giving Tree challenge guide

BitLife’s It’s Giving Tree challenge has five tasks to complete:

  • Be born in Washington
  • Become a carpenter
  • Give away a car
  • Give away $10,000
  • Give away an heirloom

Although you don’t need any specific expansions for this challenge, you will need some patience while waiting for heirlooms to appear. This pop-up is completely random, so don’t be surprised if it takes a few log-ins to find one.

Be born in Washington

The first part of the It’s Giving Tree challenge is being born in Washington. Although your starting gender doesn’t matter, the place does. Picking Washington, D.C., does not work for this challenge. Instead, choose a city like Seattle that’s in Washington state.

From here, it’s just a matter of aging until your character is old enough to make money and become a carpenter. You’ll have to live until at least age 18 without any major issues or crimes.

Become a carpenter

Once your character turns 18, they’ll unlock full-time jobs, including the opportunity to become a carpenter. Head into your full-time career list and scroll through until you see the Carpenter position. You may have to age up a couple of times or close and reopen the BitLife app. After finding the position, apply for it and pass the interview to officially become a carpenter.

Give away a car

Although the next three tasks coincide with each other, giving away a car is different from money and heirlooms. For cars, you’ll first have to buy one through the Shopping menu in Assets. It doesn’t matter how expensive it is; you can even go for the cheapest option and give it to a random friend.

Once you have the car, head into Assets, pick the car, and gift it to whoever you wish. There’s a chance they’ll reject it, especially if they think they don’t deserve it, so just go through your relationships until someone takes it.

Give away $10,000

Giving away money is a little different, as you can do this directly in the Relationships tab. Go into Relationships, select someone, and pick “Give Money.” Bring the slider all the way to the end to make it $10,000. Very rarely will they not accept it, but most people do. Confirm your selection to quickly knock out this next task.

Give away an heirloom

The final task is giving someone an heirloom. Heirlooms are antique items your character can find once a day in their attic. You’ll find a small pop-up message for it just above Job and Assets.

Once you tap on this, an attic picture will appear with a flashlight. Use your flashlight around it until you see your heirloom. Sometimes it’ll be worth nothing, while others are extremely rare and high-value terms. Regardless of what you get, gift it through your Assets menu to whoever you wish to complete BitLife’s It’s Giving Tree challenge.
