How to complete The Great Fairy’s Request in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

A helping hand, or bell in this case

If you’re on the hunt for Might Crystals in Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, there’s an accessory that can help — the Might Bell. Unfortunately, it’s an expensive item, and that’s just the cost to unlock the quest that rewards it.

To get the Might Bell, you need to complete a side quest called “The Great Fairy’s Request”, which only becomes available to unlock after you’ve upgraded your accessory slots and can wear five accessories. This is an expensive process that will cost you 1,900 Rupees to complete.

Once that’s done, though, you can pick up “The Great Fairy’s Request” and work towards completing it, a process that will send you back and forth across Hyrule to gather the specific items that are needed to craft a very special trinket.

To start this side quest, interact with the treasure chest inside the Great Fairy’s Shrine after unlocking all five accessory slots. You’ll find a Might Crystal inside, and the Great Fairy will chastise you for opening a box that doesn’t belong to you, before telling you that she can make an item to help you find more of the blue crystals. But, like most things in life, she won’t give it to you for nothing.

Instead, the Great Fairy will ask you to get her a pretty piece of jewelry and send you off to Gerudo Town to talk to the shopkeeper there. The Gerudo shopkeeper tells you that she can make the trinket, but she needs a couple of special items first.

The first of the two items needed to make the Great Fairy’s Pendant is a Floral Seashell.

Head to the waypoint at Zora Sea Village and swim down into the village itself, then talk to the shopkeeper on the left side of the interior space. She’s more than happy to give you the Floral Seashell in return for an Unfortunate Smoothie

The closest Smoothie Shop to Zora Cove Village is up north near Seesyde Village, and you can make an Unfortunate Smoothie using any of the following combinations of ingredients:

The second ingredient needed to make the Great Fairy’s Pendant is a Magma Stone, and it’s slightly harder to get your hands on than the previous Floral Seashell.

Head to Goron City on Eldin Volcano, and visit the shop on the ground floor of the town. Talk to the shopkeeper on the right side, the one who’s selling minerals, and he’ll tell you that he knows where you can get a Magma Stone. Unfortunately, the location is smack bang in the middle of a Lizalfos Burrow, and you’ll need to take out the Lizalfos before you can get the Stone.

Head north from Goron City and towards the Lizalfos Burrow shown on the map above, then work your way through the cave. There are three sets of Lizalfos and a couple of other enemies that need to be taken out. You can get through them pretty easily with some strong Echoes or in Swordfighter Form

Once you’ve taken out the last of the Lizalfos, a Goron will appear and hand you a Magma Stone. You can then take it, as well as the Floral Seashell, to the shopkeeper in Gerudo Town. She’ll take them and craft the Great Fairy’s Pendant.

Once you’ve got the Pendant, take it back to the Great Fairy in her Shrine, and she’ll reward you for completing her quest with a Might Bell. When equipped, the Might Bell will ring whenever there are Might Crystals nearby, allowing you to track them down much more easily.
