Runescape 3’s Christmas Village and quests have returned in 2024, with A Christmas Reunion debuting this year. During this quest, you’ll help Diango prepare his workshop for the Winter season by creating unique festive uniforms, baking delicious biscuits, and whipping up some hot chocolate.
A Christmas Reunion quest guide
Before starting Runescape’s A Christmas Reunion quest, make sure you get your hands on the following items:
- Split fir logs (3)
- Steel nails (15)
- Bolts of cloth (5)
- Thread
- Red dye
- Green dye
- Chocolate dust
- Bucket of milk
- Biscuits
While most of these items are obtainable before the quest begins, fir logs require being in the Christmas Village.
Finding Diango in the Christmas Village
To start the A Christmas Reunion quest, use the Christmas Village teleport in your spellbook to travel to The Land of Snow. East of the teleport area is Diango’s Workshop, where you’ll find Diango next to a decorated Christmas tree. Talk to him to start the quest.
Once you talk to Diango, he’ll tell you about Santa inviting him to the Christmas Village to help with toy production. However, due to a few mishaps with snow imps, the workshop isn’t quite ready to begin production, prompting you to gather some supplies and help him out.
Building workbenches
After your conversation with Diango, he’ll tell you to chop some wood from the fir trees outside, split them, and combine them with five steel nails to create workbenches. You need to make three workbenches using 15 steel nails and three split fir logs.
Outside of Diango’s Workshop, you’ll see several fir trees and a stump for splitting them. Cut down enough trees to get three logs before using them on the stump.
Steel nails, on the other hand, require using a steel bar on an anvil. You’ll get 75 nails to use for the quest. You can also buy some from the Grand Exchange if you want to make things a little easier and cheaper.
With both items on hand, head back inside Diango’s Workshop and build on the three piles of planks in the northern part of the building. Your character will start repairing each workbench, with imps occasionally interrupting you. Shoo them away or ignore them before finishing up all three benches.
Recruiting pixies
Now that you’ve built all three workbenches, head back to Diango to report on your progress. He’ll reintroduce you to Cait, a pixie who used to work at his old workshop. Now, she’s a union representative for the pixies. Runescape knows how it is sometimes.
Your character will immediately notice a lack of pixies other than Cait. Cait herself doesn’t even know where they are. However, based on her notes, she pinpoints the following locations for you to explore:
- Lumbridge Crater
- Al Kharid
- Daemonheim Peninsula
- Tree Gnome Stronghold
- Zanaris
Fortunately, you’ll only need to find three of the five pixies before the rest follow suit. However, free-to-play players won’t be able to find the Tree Gnome Stronghold or Zanaris pixies. She gives you a Magical Thingymabob that detects nearby pixie magic.
Finding pixies requires scanning for their magic using the Magical Thingymabob. As you scan for them, you’ll find Weak, Moderate, Strong, and Very Strong signals. The closer you are to a pixie, the stronger the signal. If you’re within the Very Strong range, the pixie will appear near you, allowing you to talk to them.
That said, below is every pixie and their location:
Pixie | Location |
---|---|
Aoife | Lumbridge Crater – Northwest of the pond |
Shauna | Al Kharid – North of Citharede Abbey’s entrance |
Maeve | Daemonheim – Second floor in the northwest Archaeologist room |
Niamh | Tree Gnome Stronghold – South of Gnomeball Court |
Shannon | Zanaris – Northwest of the bank, inside a house |
Creating pixie uniforms
Now that you’ve had a quick chat with at least three of the five pixies, return to Diango and Cait to look around at the bustling workshop. Although we’re one step closer to completing the quest, Diango feels something is missing. He and Toby realize it’s the outfits, which everyone agrees are slightly boring. Diango suggests visiting Iffie in Varrock to come up with some new uniforms.
Once you’re in Varrock, head to Thessalia’s Fine Clothes and talk to Iffie. She’ll give you a pixie uniform pattern, but you’ll need the following materials to make them:
- Six bolts of cloth
- Red dye
- Green dye
- Thread
Each item is available on the Grand Exchange if you want to buy them quickly. Otherwise, you can make red dye using redberries and coins at Aggie’s in Draynor Village. Similarly, green dye requires combining yellow and blue dye, which you make by giving Aggie Woad leaves, onions, and some coins.
Bolts of cloth and thread are also relatively quick and easy to get. You can find cloth in shops like Alfred Stonemason’s Construction Shop in Rimmington, while thread is sold in shops like Dommik’s Crafting Store in Al Kharid, the Fancy Clothes Store in Varrock, and Nicholas Angle’s Crafting Shop in Taverly, among other locations.
You can also access these items easily by using members-only areas like the Lletya Seamstress and Prifddinas Construction Supplies.
With all four items on hand, combine the dyes to make Christmas Dye before clicking on the pattern in your inventory. With the pixie uniforms on hand, return to Diango to choose the color of the pixie outfits. These won’t affect your rewards or the story; it’s purely cosmetic.
Restocking the kitchen
Now that you have special uniforms for the pixies, you have one last task: cook some food. Cait and Diango tell you you need to make hot chocolate and biscuits, requiring the following items:
- Chocolate dust
- Bucket of milk
- Biscuits
If you have Recipe for Disaster partially completed, you can access the chest under Lumbridge Castle to get each item. Otherwise, you can use the Grand Exchange or gather them yourself by milking a cow, cooking the biscuits, and grounding up a chocolate bar.
You also need to determine the pixie’s preferences to figure out exact how much of each you need. Below is every biscuit and hot chocolate type, as well as how many you need:
Biscuits | Hot Chocolate |
---|---|
Gingerbread (2) | Milk (2) |
Chocolate Chip (2) | Dark (3) |
Shortbread (1) | White (0) |
With each ingredient on hand, head back to Diango and Cait. Rather than talking to them, though, go to the biscuit storage near them and type out how many of each cookie type you need. Afterwards, head to hot chocolate storage box and type out how many of each hot chocolate you need.
Now that everything is stocked up, return to Diango and Cait one last time to celebrate the beginning of Toy Production and complete Runescape 3’s A Christmas Reunion quest.
