How to check Earth’s day and night cycle in Warframe

Are you telling me that it's 8:25?

Time of day can be a surprisingly important factor in Warframe. There are a lot of resources that you will only be able to get at certain times, especially on Earth.

There are specific plants that are only available on Earth, and they will appear during the day or night. You will also need to know when it is night to be able to hunt the mighty Eidolons that roam the Plains near Cetus.

How to check Earth’s day and night cycle in Warframe

To check the day and night cycle on Earth, you will actually need to use a third-party service. This is a little bit of a design hangover, but you can use the Warframe Hub site to do it.

To check the day or night cycle on Cetus or the Plains of Eidolon is a little different. All you need to do is head to the Navigation screen. Open up Earth and then hover over the Cetus or Plains of Eidolon nodes. An information card will pop up, and on that card, it will say “Time of Day.” This will then tell you when the next day or night cycle will begin.

For example, the card above says that it will be night in one hour, implying that Earth is currently in the day cycle.

When you are actually on the Plains of Eidolon, you can check what part of the cycle it is just by opening the map. When you do so, there will be a small indicator in the bottom right corner telling you what time it is. This is very useful if you load into the Plains a little early when Eidolon hunting. This method will also work for all the other free-roam areas in the game, such as Orb Vallis on Venus and the Cambion Drift on Deimos.

All plants that can be found on Earth

The following plants can be found on Earth:

  • Sunlight Threshcones can be found on the Grineer Forest tileset during the day.
  • Moonlight Dragonlilies can be found on the Grineer Forest tileset at night.
  • Moonlight Jadeleaf can be found on the Grineer Forest tileset at night but is very rare.
  • Sunlight Jadeleaf can be found on the Grineer Forest tileset during the day and only near water.

The Grineer Forest tileset appears at E Prime, Lith, Everest, Gaia, Cambria, Mantle, Eurasia, Cervantes, Tikal, Coba, and Oro. Capture missions such as the one on Mantle are great because you can grab the target and then take as long as you like exploring the map.
