How to catch the Dumbo Octopus in Fisch

There are plenty of fish in the sea, and that’s just as true in the Roblox fishing simulator Fisch as it is in real life. This game has a huge variety of oceanic creatures to catch, ranging from common to mythic fish.

One of the cutest fish you can reel in is the Dumbo Octopus, named for the fins on its head that resemble the famous elephant. However, this little guy is not easy to get a hold of, so we’re here to show you how you can get one of these for yourself.

Where to find the Dumbo Octopus in Fisch

The Dumbo Octopus can only be caught at Roslit Bay. While there is no specific spot that is guaranteed to have more Dumbo Octopi than others, I’d recommend heading to the coral reef by the bay on the island. 

Make sure you have the Worm bait on hand, as this is the bait that the Dumbo Octopus prefers. You’ll have a better chance of catching it. Luckily, worms are quite common, being found in Common Crates and Bait Crates easily.

The best conditions to catch the Dumbo Octopus are in the rain during the winter. Any time of day will work. You don’t need to fish for this guy exclusively during this time, as it can be caught outside of this weather and season, but it definitely helps.

How to get the Dumbo Octopus in Fisch

Once you’ve made it to Roslit Bay, simply cast your lure into the water and wait for a fish to nibble. The Dumbo Octopus is a bit flighty, so you’ll be hit with a 15% progress speed decrease when trying to lure on in. This shouldn’t be too noticeable unless you have a very fast rod.

The Dumbo Octopus will weigh anywhere between three to four kilograms and will sell for typically around 670 C$. Since it’s lightweight, you won’t need a fishing rod that is too special to reel it in. Although, we’d still recommend some of the top-tier fishing rods in the game.

Since the Dumbo Octopus is a legendary fish, it might take a little while to catch one, although not as difficult as a Mosasaurus. They won’t spawn nearly as often as common or rare fish, so be prepared to put in some time to find this little octopus. 

There are also plenty of mutations available for the Dumbo Octopus, such as Sparkling, Glossy, Mythical, and Ghastly. These will be even harder to come by, so if you want to catch one, we’d recommend using the Mythical Rod to increase your chances of fishing up a mutation by 15%, or wait for a Mutation Surge event to take place.
