How to catch Catfish in Fields of Mistria

There are a lot of new fish to discover in Fields of Mistria, and every so often you’ll pick up a new quest from the Request Board which will ask for a specific fish. It can be hard to figure out which fish is where, but they can all be found if you know how. 

One of these fish is the Catfish. At some point, you may get a quest to find one in order to unlock the Breaded Catfish recipe. This meal will a medium amount of stamina and energy when consumed, so it’s definitely worth learning. 

Where to find Catfish in Fields of Mistria

Catfish in Fields of Mistria, like they often do in the real world, inhabit the ponds and lakes of Mistria. This does limit where you can find them, but you do still have a couple of options for fishing locations if you want to have a change of scenery. 

The first location is on the Eastern Road (shown above), in the ponds and lakes which are lined by Cattail Fluff. The second is up near the Manor House in Mistria itself, where Adeline and her family live. To the left of the Manor is a pond where you can also find Catfish: 

Either way, you might have to spend quite a bit of time fishing before you manage to catch a Catfish. They seem to be on the rarer side of fish in Mistria, so you’re likely to catch a lot of other fish in your efforts. On the plus side, a lot of these fish can be donated to the Museum or otherwise sold for a good of profit. 

Thankfully, there are no weather or time restrictions surrounding Catfish that I’ve noticed, meaning you can catch them at any time of the year, regardless of whether it’s raining, snowing, or the sun is blazing down on you.
