How to catch a Pink Ribbon Eel in Infinity Nikki

Like a regular Ribbon Eel, only pink

Events in Infinity Nikki are ever-changing, so there’s always something new to do. The newest event is called “Into a Starry Night”, and you’ll need to complete some specific objectives to reap the event rewards.

To see everything that you need to do for this event, open up the event menu and navigate to the “Into a Starry Night” screen. Most of the event quests are pretty self-explanatory, and you’ll immediately be given the quests to complete in your quest log. However, one of the quests for the first day of the event can be quite tricky to complete due to the rarity of the necessary item.

Before you can catch a Pink Ribbon Eel in Infinity Nikki, you’ll need to progress through the Random Quest that allows for it to be captured. This quest is called “Lucky Pink Ribbon Eel”, and you’ll be given it as soon as you log into the game.

To progress this quest, head to the Leisurely Anglers Florawish Branch Warp Spire, and then make your way to Ocheno on the small dock bridge to the southeast of the main building, as shown above. He’s desperate to catch a Pink Ribbon Eel for his son, but he’s not as skilled as he once was in the art of fishing, so it’s up to Nikki and Momo to save the day and reel one in for him.

This is where it gets tricky because you won’t be given any hints about a possible location to catch the Pink Ribbon Eel. Rather than fishing in all of the fishing spots you come across, there are a couple of designated spots where Pink Ribbon Eel will spawn. One specific way to guarantee you get some Pink Ribbon Eel on the end of your rod is to head into the middle of Silken Lake.

Head northeast from where you pick up the quest and you’ll eventually come across a Croaker Boatman on a giant lily pad. After talking to them, they’ll take you to Silken Lake to fish for Pink Ribbon Eels as part of the event.

When you reach your destination, you’ll have a couple of fishing spots to choose from and it’s worth making the most of them. Each fishing spot has three fish to reel in, and if you look closely, you’ll notice that one of them gives off pink bubbles. This is guaranteed to be a Pink Ribbon Eel, and you’re probably going to have to fish up the other two fish before you hook the one you really need.

Once you’ve hooked the Pink Ribbon Eel in each spot, you’ll have your work cut out for you trying to reel it in. It regains stamina remarkably quickly, so you’ll need to fight it three times to wear it out and get the catch. You’ll also notice that the fish on the stamina bar at the top of the screen is pink, rather than the usual white.

When you’ve fished up all of the fish you can, talk to the Croaker Boatman again to return to the shore and talk to Ocheno again to complete the quest.

What to do with Pink Ribbon Eels in Infinity Nikki

Once you’ve got the hang of things and fished up some Pink Ribbon Eels, you can talk to Mitcheli at the Leisurely Anglers Florawish Branch. He has a stall set up, and you can exchange these special eels for surprise gifts. There is a long list of surprise gifts available, but here’s what I managed to get after around 30 minutes of fishing:

  • Diamonds
  • Bling
  • Threads of Purity
  • “Only the Willing” card title
  • Hollow Elpsie Earrings
  • Shining Particles

While the crafting materials and basic currency rewards are easy to get elsewhere, the title and earrings are limited to this event, so it’s definitely worth handing in all of your Pink Ribbon Eels to try and get everything you can from Mitcheli.
