Hacking consoles can be stressful, especially when you have just over a minute to solve a full puzzle once the countdown starts, so the nerves and stakes are higher. If you aren’t good at this minigame, we suggest you try these tricks:

Use Hacking Ciphers

There’s no shame in giving up some materials to create Ciphers for instances like this. With only one minute, you can probably solve two consoles at most before imminent failure. That’s a 50% chance of rescuing the hostage. 

By using this item, you can almost guarantee to open all four possible entries to finish the objective. Just know that when it comes to Sorties, the option to use Ciphers is disabled, so try the next tricks.

You should buy the bundle of Cipher Blueprints like the 10x one from the Market, or the 100x one from your Clan’s Dojo.

Install Auto Breach onto your Parazon

This isn’t a guarantee by any means, but having a 30% chance to auto-hack a console on top of the 50% probability of finding the right entrance brings your success rate up significantly higher. Plus, when turrets and enemies are gunning at you, the quickness of an auto-hack can also save your life.

Subsume the Perspicacity ability to your Warframe

This is the most recommended method as it eliminates the need to craft Ciphers and rely on mods with increased probabilities. You’ll ideally want to have a separate build for frames that you play Spy missions with.

Perspicacity is also a very cheap ability to cast. The only time it’ll get dispelled is when you come into contact with an enemy’s nullifying ability or if you fall out of bounds.

Use a tanky frame

If you want to brute force everything, you technically can. Once the countdown happens and you have to scurry to save the hostage, use a tanky frame. Ignore all the killing and focus on the objective. Hack a console, enter the portal, and repeat until you find the operative.

This doesn’t just apply to Zeipel on Lua either. You can use any of these tactics on any other difficult rescue missions in Warframe, like Garus in the Kuva Fortress.
