How to add more Pals at your base in Palworld

Put them to work.

In Palworld, your pals are indispensable in combat, often doing the real heavy damage. However, thatā€™s not where theyā€™re best. Theyā€™re most useful in your base doing chores. So, how do you make that happen?

When you set up a base, you do so with a Palbox. Immediately after this is set up, you can assign a Pal to it, just one at first. Go up to the Palbox and open up the Palbox Management Menu (a prompt will tell you what button this is assigned to).

The menu that comes up will show you the Pals in your party, the Pals in the box, and the ā€œPals At The Base.ā€ Moving these around is pretty intuitive. In the PC version, itā€™s a simple click-and-drag interface. On Xbox, itā€™s not too different. You hover your selection over the Pal you want, press confirm, and it will stick to your cursor. You can then just move to the ā€œPals At The Baseā€ box or over to the party and drop them. If there is already a Pal in that slot, theyā€™ll be moved into the box.

Alternatively, thereā€™s a ā€œMoveā€ button assigned, which you can see at the bottom of the screen.

Once a Pal is in the ā€œPals At The Baseā€ box, theyā€™ll appear in the world and immediately start doing whatever chores are available that theyā€™re capable of. When youā€™re in the Palbox, you can see what chores they can take care of in the information field. If the watering can is highlighted, they can water fields. If the hand is highlighted, they can move objects around the base. And so on.

The other thing to keep in mind is that you level up your base by building facilities within its perimeter. The level of your base dictates how many Pals you can have working at one time. Each level provides you with a slot for an additional pal.

You should also keep in mind that every pal let loose in your base needs their own bed to sleep in and food to eat. Youā€™ll either want these already available to them or be ready to build them quickly. Otherwise, theyā€™ll get grumpy or just pass out.
