EA and Respawn Entertainment have announced a new battle pass system for Apex Legends. The new Apex Legends battle pass has officially split into two parts, just like how Ranked works in Apex Legends. There will now be two battle passes per season, from Season 22 onwards.
Previously, the Apex Legends battle pass cost 950 Apex Coins, but it is now only purchasable by spending $10 for the Premium Pass. There is also an upgraded Premium+ Battle Pass which costs $20. By splitting the battle pass into two halves, players would have to pay at least $20 to get access to both battle pass splits during the season.
With this price increase, also comes more rewards. Respawn has decreased the season length from 110 to 60 when it comes to unlocking the legendary skins at the end of the battle. Players will also be getting more skins, Apex Packs, and more. The total number of rewards that players can earn under the new system is more than what was possible in the old battle pass system.

Earlier, players were only getting 1,200 Crafting Materials with the old Battle Pass. Now, each battle pass split will offer 2,400 CM, meaning that players can get 4,800 CM in a single season via the two battle passes. Similarly, a total of 40 Apex Packs can be earned through the new battle passes, compared to the old battle pass’ 14 Apex Packs. A total of 2,600 Apex Coins can be earned during a new season from now on, compared to the old system’s 1,300 Apex Coins offerings.

While the 200 Apex Coins and 7 Apex Packs were available in the previous free battle passes too, the new Epic skin combo is new. Furthermore, there will be two battle pass each season, which means that players would be able to earn 400 Apex Coins in total, and 14 Apex Packs.

- All Legends unlocked during battle pass
The exclusive Legendary skins will remain exclusive for a year. All Legends will be playable until the battle pass ends. It is important to note that if you buy the Premium+ battle pass for the first half of the season, the legends will only remain unlocked for the second half battle pass. You will have to buy the second half’s battle pass and its Premium+ track to unlock them.
