If youāre here, you probably already know exactly what chest in Super Mario RPG weāre talking about. Right before you enter Belomeās chamber in Kero Sewers, thereās a chest hovering above a ledge in plain view. So, how do you open the last chest in Kero Sewers?
Iām going to stop you right away. If you havenāt fought Belome yet but are trying to make sure no stone has gone unturned in Kero Sewers, itās time to move on. The way to access that chest is not in Kero Sewers at all. You donāt actually get the opportunity to crack that crate until far later in the game when youāve probably forgotten all about it.
If youāre combing the sewers trying to get up there, youāre wasting your time.
To access that chest, you need to wait until you get to a place called Landās End. On your journey through Landās End, youāll eventually come to a place where you need to cross Sky Bridge, which has an accompanying mini-game. Right before you set foot atop the opposite ledge, near the end of Sky Bridge, there is a big gaping hole in the side of the cliff. Thatās where you want to go.
You donāt need to cross Sky Bridge to get to the hole. You can actually enter from the path at the bottom of the area. You donāt need to drop down from above. Itās completely accessible from the ground. However, you need to watch for puffs of smoke coming out of it. Youāre not actually jumping to get in the hole; you want to touch one of those puffs of smoke.
When you do, youāll drop into a long cave. Follow this straight to the end, and youāll find yourself back in Kero Sewers. You come out of a pipe up on a ledge that allows you to jump over to the small bridge that leads under the chest. Just donāt fall. If you fall, youāre going to be backtracking to Landās End to try again.
Inside the chest is a Cricket Pie. Take this to the Frog Sage (formerly Frogfucius) and give it to him. He’ll reward you with 10 frog coins.
