Clear the next three minutes from your schedule. Maybe six. The Horizon Zero Dawn launch trailer is good enough that you may want to watch it twice. It’s a stylish mixture of entrancing tribal rituals and cinematic robo-dino fighting. The gorgeous vistas are just the cherry on top.

It doesn’t come as much surprise that the launch trailer is good because the source material appears to be good. Horizon Zero Dawn reviews posted earlier this week, and it’s receiving near-universal praise. We gave it a 7.5, but many outlets were north of 8.0. At time of writing, review aggregator OpenCritic has 49 of 67 reviews sitting at 8.5 or higher. It seems we have a hit on our hands.

Next week, you can decide for yourself if open-world robotic dinosaur hunting is your kind of thing. Horizon Zero Dawn launches on February 28 in North America and on March 1 in Europe. For now, find retreat in watching Aloy tango with mechanical beast after mechanical beast. It’s a sweet dance, indeed.
